Good morning,
Ready for a new week? Here’s your weekly newsletter from your favourite (maybe your only) hyperlocal coworking space.
— Kerry & Pendra, Co-Directors

Our ‘nook’.
Stirchley Sewing School have officially moved into their own new unit - we are wishing Charlotte all the best with the relocation. The move means the sewing school can grow and expand, with new daytime/weekday classes too. Follow Charlotte’s move & updates on the Sewing School instagram.
With Sewing School moving to a new location, we have more availability in our own calendar for private hire on evenings and weekends, as well as additional storage space for anyone interested in regular hire.
Rates are reasonable, starting at £15ph.
Get in touch about venue hire by email, we’d love to hear from you - [email protected]
Ash Tree Floral Designs’ next workshop at the coworking space is on Sunday 19 July from 11am-1pm, workshop guests will learn floristry skills from an award-winning tutor Ashley - and you’ll take your bouquet - made from locally grown blooms - home with you. Skills for life! Book your place through Ash Tree Floral Designs’ website.
Ashley recently won RHS Gold Medal and Best Floral Tablescape at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2026 for her exhibit At the Threshold: The Garden Comes to the Table. Her first entry to RHS. Congratulations!

Ashley receives her RHS Gold Medal, May 2026
What’s caught our attention:
We are always happy to share what you’re working on, especially if you are part of the coworking space community. If you have anything you’d like to share, PLEASE DO email: [email protected]

It’s a bit surreal having our community in the national news all weekend. We’re sending love to our friend who was injured and wishing them a speedy recovery.
In case you missed it: there’s a new councillor in Stirchley, and we’re saying a fond farewell to Cllr Mary Locke (Labour) and hello and welcome to Cllr Kamel Hawwash (Green). No matter what your political colour, we can all agree that Mary has shown up and worked hard for the area for a decade.
Plonk (Cotteridge) continue to programme events for all ages, including film screenings, wine tastings, art evenings for grown-ups, and half-term activities for kids, including yoga, wreath making and more. Best place to check out what’s happening is their Instagram page. Plonk have also recently been working on a Cotteridge design tshirt in a collab with St.Irchley, raising funds for three local causes: Ampersand Projects, Friends of Cotteridge Park and Tending to Cotteridge. Hurrah!
Stirchley Co-operative Development are looking for investors to help them get over the line. Read more in the Loaf newsletter. And Loaf continue to pop-up in Anosh in Deadbeat (1475 Pershore Road, Birmingham B30 2NT) Weds-Sat 10am-3pm.
Birmingham Brewing Company are celebrating 10 years of business (and they’re based in Stirchley in case you didn’t already know), they’re ‘opening the doors so you can own part of it’. Take a look at their ‘crowdfunding sneak peak’. They’re also planning to open a bar in Longbridge, opposite the station, which is great news.
