Hello,

In case you missed last week’s news: things tend to be a little quieter in the coworking space over the holidays, so we’re offering half-price access. It’s been lovely to see so many of you dropping by, whether for the first time, returning after a while, or as regulars making the most of the savings.

To get this offer: purchase a 'gift voucher' on our booking page: https://www.theoldpostoffice.space/booking. After purchasing the half-price voucher, you can use your code at the checkout when booking your slot. Valid for full-day or half-day bookings. Offer ends 10 April.

So with that in mind, we are open this week for coworking: Tuesday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with Erin, Ev, Fiona and Ellie. Closed today (Easter Monday).

— Kerry & Pendra, Co-Directors

Registered address service

Set up The Old Post Office in Stirchley as your registered address for a small annual fee, and support a small business by doing so. This means you don't have to include your home address or personal details in your company registration.

What’s caught our attention:

We are always happy to share what you’re working on, especially if you are part of the coworking space community. If you have anything you’d like to share, PLEASE DO email: [email protected]

  • Jack Spicer Adams (our photographer) organises an egg rolling competition in the JQ every year, and the photos from 2026’s egg roll do not disappoint.

  • I took my 5yo son to Selly Manor’s egg hunt, and its on again this week, if you’re looking for something locally to do with the kids during their half term holidays.

  • Selly Manor also got in touch with TOPO to let us know that they’re having a community noticeboard to go alongside their next exhibition, all about tapestry. If you are part of a local group and want to spread the word to their visitors, get in touch with Louise - [email protected]. Details about the exhibition here.

  • In the (our) news again, Stirchley Open Cinema are holding a film quiz at Birmingham Brewing Company on Thursday 30 April, raising funds for Samaritans. More details here.

  • I’ve had a read through Stirchley Neighbourhood Forum’s March meeting minutes, the main topic was drainage and pollution. And Sandra’s found more information about the Birmingham River Champions Project. As yet, there is no dedicated Stirchley river testing group - if you’re interested, please do get in touch with Sandra. More information and contact info in the newsletter featuring the minutes. There will be a Stirchley Hustings organised by the forum nearer the time of the local election (Thursday 7 May - heads up, fellow parents, your school is probably going to be closed if it’s a polling station). The next Stirchley Neighbourhood Forum is Monday 13 April at 7.30pm at Stirchley Community Church (opposite the Baths).

  • And lastly, Stirchley train nerds unite, Pineapple Station finally opens tomorrow (!!) Tuesday 7 April, and Dads Lane Community Association / Pineapple House is going to be open every day from 7am-9am.
