We are open this week for coworking Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with Pendra, Erin, Ev, Fiona and Ellie.

Registered address service

Set up The Old Post Office in Stirchley as your registered address for a small annual fee, and support a small business by doing so. This means you don't have to include your home address or personal details in your company registration.

What’s caught our attention:

We are always happy to share what you’re working on, especially if you are part of the coworking space community - email: [email protected]

  • Coworker Hoon (Tokidokie Cookies) has released her Mother’s Day collection of hand-iced biscuits. Subscribe to her newsletter, and you even get 15% off. Take a look here.

  • Cotteridge Park’s Youth Club has expanded - “it is a priority for the volunteers that look after the park that we provide safe, inclusive activities for the next generation of park volunteers and users. Youth clubs across the country are under threat. Since 2010 1,243 youth clubs closed across England and Wales and Birmingham's recent financial difficulties have made the situation worse. Your donations, the drinks you buy at The Shed and grants, thanks to National Lottery players, mean that we are bucking the trend and expanding our youth club provision in Cotteridge Park. As well as a youth club for 10-13 year olds, we now have a 13+ group. Back on a new day - Wednesdays - starting on 25th February.” Friends of Cotteridge Park are a registered charity and you can donate to support their work here. (Coworker Max is a trustee)

  • Loaf have left the building! Loaf have moved out of their premises and they have a couple of months before they can move into their finished new build. This pause in business has meant they’re unable to trade, and they’re running a crowdfunder to help with the shortfall. Loaf are a much-loved local social enterprise, and they have given back to the community in numerous ways over the years. If you do have a few quid to spare, please consider supporting them - you’ll be paid back in bread depending on which reward you opt for! Take a look at their Crowdfunder.

  • In other high street news, sadly, Yardbirds are closing - their last day of trading is this Sunday 8th March. We wish them well for the future! Book your table for later in the week.

  • To celebrate Women’s History Month a new exhibition, Icons and Instigators will be on show at the Rest House on Bournville Village Green. The exhibition includes:

    • Mary Sargent Florence - a British artist specialising in fresco paintings. She painted over half of the New Testament murals found in Bournville Junior School hall

    • Elizabeth Cadbury - a Quaker philanthropist who co-founded and later chaired the Bournville Village Trust, devoting her life to improving welfare, education, and living conditions, especially for women and children

    • Doctor Susan Ofori-Atta, the first female Ghanaian medical doctor in Ghana, and the first Ghanaian woman and fourth West African woman to earn a university degree.

At the Rest House, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March, 11 am – 3pm. Free entry. Full info can be found here: Selly Manor | Exhibition: icons & instigators

  • Stirchey-based The Clear Space has a patreon where you can access their community, including free somatic practices, blog posts and integration circles. (You may remember coworker Laura Babb - she moved into her own therapy space!) As with all of Laura’s spaces - they are neurodivergence affirming, LGBTQ+ inclusive, and open to all. Laura quite often shares her ‘fucking mental health walks for my fucking mental health’ for accountability over on her instagram, and if you need your own reminder to get fresh air today - this is it!
