Festive Garlands Workshop, Thursday 11 December, 7pm-9pm. “Step away from the Christmas rush and enjoy a relaxed evening of creativity, festive treats, and good company. In this cosy workshop, you’ll be guided through making your very own fresh foliage garland.” more info & booking link

Stirchley Open Cinema are holding a Hope Not Hate fundraiser, on Friday 7 November at Stirchley Baths. They’re screening This Is England (Dir: Shane Meadows, Cert 18, 2005, 1hr 41m). “All of the ticket sales from this screening will be going to HOPE NOT HATE, a movement pushing back against hate and standing up for stronger, more united communities.” Tickets via TicketTailor (poster below)
Balsall Heath Repair Cafe this Saturday 8 November, 12noon-4pm, The Old Print Works - part of Balsall Heath Second Saturday “bring any items you want our volunteer repairers to take a look at. We will have repairers skilled in clothing repairs, electronics and bike repairs”
Friends of Rea Valley Friday Woodland Sessions - come play in the woods on a Friday and help the Friends of Rea Valley care for the trees. Every Friday, 10am-2pm, in Ten Acres woods. Meet at the noticeboard on Cartland Road (see poster below)
Caneat has a new book club (Canread) and their next book is dystopian: I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman. They are discussing the book on Wednesday 12 November at 7.30pm. If you like dystopia… Stirchley has *two* (yes, really) dystopian book clubs. One being: Is This Tomorrow? led by coworker Andrea.
We’re really pleased to hear that there are two new wine bars opening in the area by local folks - please follow them on social media and tell your friends.Wishing them both all the best!
Isla is a micro wine bar opening in the old Music Exchange shop (1460 Pershore Road), next door to the best curry takeaway in Stirchley IMO, Dilkhush
Plonk is opening in Cotteridge, in the old party shop that had a big cow outside the front, remember that? and it’s handily next door to the best falafels on the Pershore Road at Bistro

The coworking space is open Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm
You can book:
a half day (9am-12.30pm / 1.30pm-5pm)
full day (9am-5pm)
school hours (9am-3pm)
With no ongoing commitment needed (though we’d of course love to have you back).
If you’d like to start something more regular here, you may like to consider a discounted monthly membership such as half a day a week / one day a week.
