We have a sign!
It’s only taken six years, but we did it! I did the design, Action graphics did the fabrication and install, and Pendra organised it all. Above is a photo by Ev, of Wednesday keyholder Erin posing like they own the joint.
And, you may have seen the Brummies united against racism poster in our window, it’s part of a citywide campaign. ‘A message of neighbourly solidarity is thriving in Birmingham against a backdrop of racist intimidation’.
We have a handful of A4 and A3 posters available for you to pick up and display, if you’d like to show your solidarity.

Does sustainability in fashion exist without decolonisation? asks Sophie Benson, join her on Thursday 23 October at 10.30am for a (virtual) fireside chat with plant-based fashion brand Jiwya
Ampersand Projects have various workshops you can join throughout autumn/winter, including Botanical inks, at Stirchley Baths Sat 29 Nov 10.30am - 3:30pm. ‘No experience needed, you will learn how to make natural inks and how this can connect us to the environment.’ The day-long workshop will be led by artist Carolyn Morton. Pay as you can.
Verbena shared details of their collab BYOB supper clubs with Cork and Cage and Wilf, the first being this Wednesday 22 October. Details in Verbena’s newsletter.
Gaza Infant Nutrition Alliance (GINA) are collecting knitwear for newborns and premature babies in Gaza. “We are collecting booties, hats and sleeping bags.” Information on Instagram.
THIS IS TMRW presents Xmas for Palestine at the Hare and Hounds, Kings Heath on Friday 19 December: featuring Flesh Creep, Meatdripper, Total Luck, Matters, and Margarita Witch Cult DJs, with all proceeds supporting Medical Aid for Palestinians and Watermelon Sisters’ relief work in Gaza. Tickets.

The coworking space is open Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm
You can book:
a half day (9am-12.30pm / 1.30pm-5pm)
full day (9am-5pm)
school hours (9am-3pm)
With no ongoing commitment needed (though we’d of course love to have you back).
If you’d like to start something more regular here, you may like to consider a discounted monthly membership such as half a day a week / one day a week.
