C90 Community Chorus regulars are going out for a curry and karaoke this week. You can join them for their usual meet-up at The Old Post Office next Friday 24 October. Book via eventbrite.
What’s caught our attention:
This evening (Monday 13 October) it’s Stirchley Neighbourhood Forum. The minutes for the September meeting are here. In addition to the usual community updates, there’s a guest speaker - Police and Crime Commissioner, Simon Foster. 7.30pm-8.30pm, Stirchley Community Church. ‘It is an open meeting and there is no need to book a place but it would be helpful to know how many people might attend by emailing [email protected]’
Nextdoor-but-one neighbours Birmingham Bike Foundry are celebrating being 15 years old - they’re throwing a party and you’re invited. Saturday 18 October - 5pm until late. Spaces are limited so prebook your pizza on their website or risk going home hungry. (I went to their opening on the high street when I was a fresh graduate. Blimey.)
Join The Exchange, Tommy’s, and Birmingham Women’s Hospital for a special event marking a pivotal moment in miscarriage care and maternal health, to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week (which started last week, running from 9 - 15 October). Event at the Exchange this Weds at 6.30pm
From 27 October - 2 November 2025 (half term), Transport for West Midlands are offering parents, guardians or carers a whole week of unlimited free bus travel across the West Midlands, apply for your pass here
Get your tickets for Being Human Festival, an annual, national festival with a regional hub at the University of Birmingham. Highlight: Healing Scents Witchcraft or Wisdom? workshop/walking tour taking place at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on Saturday 8 November. “This sensory journey promotes culturally sensitive care and honours the deep wisdom of herbal medicine through smell, taste, and touch.” Tickets for this event here & regional festival programme here

The coworking space is open this week, Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm
You can book:
a half day (9am-12.30pm / 1.30pm-5pm)
full day (9am-5pm)
school hours (9am-3pm)
With no ongoing commitment needed (though we’d of course love to have you back).
If you’d like to start something more regular here, you may like to consider a discounted monthly membership such as half a day a week / one day a week.
