We had a great photography day and we are over the moon with our new photos - if you were in on the day and had your portrait taken you should by now have received a link with images. Give me (Kerry) a nudge if you haven’t.

C90 Community Chorus
Join Sounds Local CIC for Stirchley’s latest singing group held every Friday, 7–9pm at The Old Post Office - come along and sing your heart out to hits from ‘the best decade in pop culture!’ (the 90s).
The group is open to people (18+), who want to come together and sing 90s songs for fun, to make new friends, and maybe to perform the odd gig in public in future. Let Mark know you’re thinking of coming/sign up for updates.

The big news, is that Stirchley Library is one of the libraries that the council has said will only be open on alternate Saturdays. The Save Stirchley Library campaign has been quick to set up a petition against this, and you can read more about why on the change.org petition ‘Keep Stirchley Library open every Saturday’. ‘Our community needs more access—not less.’ A timely reminder, that if you haven’t been in a while - pop in, those visitor numbers add up.
It’s Stirchley Community Market’s 15th(!) birthday and summer market on Saturday 21 June, from 10am-3pm at Stirchley Baths. There will be birthday cake, face painting, entertainment, a choir performing twice - in the garden behind the library weather permitting, and a storytelling event for kids and their grown ups in the same spot. Stirchley Library’s monthly Saturday Storytots for 0-5 year olds is from 10am-10.30pm this Saturday too - so why not visit the market afterwards. More on Stirchley Library’s web page.
WM-Net Zero are holding their annual Clean Air Day event at 10am, Thursday 19 June at the Exchange. ‘Explore how transport can drive climate action and better health at this regional net zero event in the West Midlands.’ Free - register via eventbrite
Bitches For A Better World are holding their final session of making before CoCoMAD* at The Shed in Cotteridge Park from 4.30pm-6pm on Sunday 22 June. Some materials supplied or BYO! Free, please bring along a tin for Anawim food bank if you can.
*CoCoMAD is Saturday 5 July from 12noon in Cotteridge Park. That is, Cotteridge Community’s Music, Art, Dance (& more) festival. Free, though donations to Friends of Cotteridge Park CIO are encouraged (by me!) to ensure the festival can realistically take place next year too - if everyone donates £5 the festival would be covered. (Weekly coworker Max is a trustee!)

The coworking space is open this week Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm
You can book:
a half day (9am-12.30pm / 1.30pm-5pm)
full day (9am-5pm)
school hours (9am-3pm)
With no ongoing commitment needed (though we’d of course love to have you back).
If you’d like to start something more regular here, you may like to consider a discounted monthly membership such a half a day a week / one day a week.
