Here’s your short Sunday morning newsletter from The Old Post Office (TOPO).
Yesterday (Saturday 21 Sept) was Stirchley Community Market, my other volunteer commitment. Therefore this newsletter is a short one this week.
I was covering the coworking space Thurs and Friday so Pendra could have a bit of a breather after a busy summer in charge of TOPO. It was nice to be back. While I was there we had brilliant feedback - someone booked their second visit to the coworking space before they had even finished their first. (Hello if you are reading this, Jim!)
Fancy trying it out? A half day isn’t a huge commitment - £8.50 and all teas/coffees/bourbons included. We are open as usual for coworking Monday to Friday this week - come and see us.
Accountability sessions are Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday evening and Friday morning.

Birmingham Open Studios
For the second year, the coworking space is a host venue for Birmingham Open Studios - pop in next weekend between 11am-5pm on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September.
Birmingham Open Studios is a good opportunity to go to places you may not ordinarily get chance to visit. In Stirchley there are other participating venues/artists studios including Stirchley Printworks, Copperknobs and Stirchley Art Room at Stirchley Library. Punks and Chancers and Black Country Type have teamed up for LIBRARIES GIVE US POWER - available on P&C’s website and at Bournville Artisan Market, which is taking place this afternoon (Sunday 22 September) on Bournville Green.
The Libraries consultation ends Friday 27 September. Please have your say - you can read up on the consultation and there is support available from information/campaign groups, such as Punks and Chancers who say: “Once we’ve lost our local libraries, they’re gone forever. Do what you can to save them! The final in-person consultations continue for another week - turn up if you can. Write to your local councillor & MP to say you don’t agree - I have a template so it only takes you a few minutes. DM your email and I’ll send it you. And fill in the consultation survey.”
