Hello - and welcome to the latest newsletter from The Old Post Office. In this week's newsletter we have another 'Meet the coworker' from Rachel's social media series. There's also a bunch of links to local things I've seen that I think you may be interested in.I blinked and somehow it's April - it was a busy March - we had 13 new coworkers join through the month - welcome! In March we also had a coworking space craft evening - egg painting - and we held our first Fat Joy Book Club. LOVE. (If you'd like to come to the next one, reply to this email and I'll send the details.)Coming up in April there's ongoing evening and weekend Stirchley Sewing School and a Wax Flower carving workshop (details for both below). Oh and there's also you know, coworking 9-5 Monday to Friday. If you're reading this newsletter and thinking 'I really should try the coworking space out some time' then why not book a half day through the website. There's no ongoing commitment, half a day is £8.50 and you can have as many coffees / biscuits as you can get through in 3.5 hours. Join local jewellery designer Ellen-Lou (Ellie) for a wax carving workshop at The Old Post Office. Ellie hosts a monthly cut flower wax carving workshop, and in April the flower of choice is Anemone Coronaria - also known as the Palestinian Poppy.
By the end of the workshop you will have learned new skills, chatted to new people and raised funds for a good cause. This is a charity fundraiser event which will see all profits from the ticket price donated to Medical Aid for Palestine.
Sunday 28 April, 2pm-4.30pm, £65pp. Hot drinks & homemade cake. Ticket includes one brass casting.Book via Ellen-Lou's website.
